BROWSERS / MOBILE / FALLBACKS

Modern browsers.
Graceful fallbacks.

The generator and exports rely on standard browser APIs. Camera, native sharing, clipboard and installation capabilities vary by browser and operating system, so QR Studio keeps fallbacks where practical.

Camera requirements

Camera scanning requires a secure context such as HTTPS and user permission. If camera access is denied or unavailable, image-file scanning remains available.

PWA and offline

Installation UI differs by platform. On iOS, installation is typically performed through Share → Add to Home Screen. Service-worker cache enables the locally hosted QR engine, verifier and tools to work without network access after caching.

Fallback behavior

If a verifier Worker fails, the main Studio lazy-loads the same-origin decoder as a fallback. If native Share is unavailable, export/download remains available. Clipboard features report when the browser denies permission instead of silently failing.
