Core workflow
Choose a content type, enter the destination, adjust appearance and wait for the local verification status. Export is intentionally guarded: a code that cannot be decoded from its rendered result should not be treated as ready.
Scan reliability
Keep contrast high
Dark modules on a light background are the safest baseline. QR Studio measures contrast and also performs an actual decode check, which is stronger evidence than contrast alone.
Logos
A center logo removes usable QR area. QR Studio increases error correction, protects scan-critical structures and constrains logo placement. Larger or dense codes may automatically reduce the safe logo footprint.
Quiet zone and print size
The empty border around a QR is part of reliable scanning. Frames in Print Studio are placed outside that zone. The Studio also estimates a physical minimum size from module density.
When one QR is not enough
A standard QR has finite capacity. Multi‑QR divides long UTF‑8 content into ordered pieces with a session identifier and whole-message checksum. QR Studio Scanner can collect the pieces in any order and reconstruct the original only when the checksum matches.
Dynamic QR
A Dynamic QR stores a stable redirect URL in the QR while the destination lives in QR Studio's isolated Supabase backend. The destination can be changed later without changing the printed QR. Management access is protected by a random token stored only in your browser unless you export a management backup.
Dynamic scan analytics are aggregate-only: QR Studio stores total and daily scan counts, not raw IP addresses, user-agent strings or individual scan records.
Privacy model
QR generation, uploaded logos, camera decoding and image scanning are processed in the browser. Saved history is opt-in. Wi‑Fi passwords are deliberately excluded from saved/exported history.
The application has no QR-generation backend and does not need an account to generate a static QR code.
FAQ
Why does export sometimes get blocked?
The current rendered QR failed validation, contrast checks or local decode verification. Change the content density, logo, colors or error-correction settings and retry.
Does changing a static QR later change where it points?
No. A static QR stores its destination in the code itself. Changing the destination requires generating a new QR. Dynamic redirect QR codes would require a hosted redirect service.
Can I scan an existing QR and edit it?
Yes. Open Scanner, use the camera or an image, then choose Edit in Studio. Supported payloads are parsed back into their matching form.
Does transparent export remain scan-safe?
It depends on the surface behind the QR. QR Studio verifies transparent output against the target background color you choose.
Can I use QR Studio offline?
After the PWA assets have been cached by the browser, the core app and local tools are designed to continue working offline.
